"Home is where the heart is..."

Yay! It's finally Friday and I am going home for the weekend! I'm so excited to see my family and especially my kitty cat! I can't wait! Anyways, yesterday was really fun but really scary at the same time. Me and a few of my friends took the subway down to Canal Street to do a little "knock-off shopping." Of course, we had no luck! I just think it's so funny how the people selling bags and watches whisper to you under their breath as you walk by designer names. It's so shady! Okay, well, I have to get ready and packed so I will ttyl! Au revoir, loves!

Thank God for razors with built-in shaving cream!

So, today was super fun! After all my meetings were done, me and a couple of friends decided to hop a subway train (I'm starting to like those things!) to Fifth Avenue to do a little window shopping. After that, we went to dinner at a fun diner with aspiring Broadway actors and actresses as waiters and waitresses! They sing show tunes to you! It was a totally fun day! So, when I got back home, I, of course, felt dirty and disgusting so I hopped in the shower. All I have to say is I'm so glad I don't need shaving cream! Those showers are so small that you can hardly move in there! Okay, well, I'm totally exhausted, so I'm going to get ready to snuggle up in bed and catch up on some Elle! Au revoir, loves!

"Start takin' the subway!"

So, how much fun was today? Tons! Once my meetings in the morning were done, I decided to do a little exploring of my own! So, I journeyed over to Macy's (in four-inch wedges, I might add) and did a little browsing. I didn't want to go too far because I had two other meetings to go to! So, after they were FINALLY finished, I went with my friends to the Brooklyn Bridge. I've never been there before, and I figured it would be fun! Thank God one of my friends knows the subway system in and out! I think I would die here without her! LOL! The bridge was A-MAZING! It is now one of my fave spots to go to because you can just stand in the middle of it and just breathe. It's a great place to just meditate and let go. Well, that was my exciting day! I hope yours were just as great! Au revoir, loves!

P.S.~ Got my first NYC catcall. Not very flattering.

Quick breakfast.

So, I just got up an hour or so ago, and I really didn't sleep that well. I guess it'll take me a while to get used to all the new sounds of my new city! Right now, I am grabbing a quick breakfast and then I have three meetings to go to! I really hope I don't doze off! Tonight, I made plans with my bff and I can't wait to explore! Au revoir, loves!

"Sometimes 'goodbye' is a second chance."

So, today, I had to do probably one of the hardest things in my life. I had to say goodbye to my family because I am now living on my own. I know they are only a short train ride away, but I feel like there are WORLDS between us. I just told them that I love them and miss them, and I cried my eyes out for a while. But, now, I feel okay. I feel like I can do this. I feel like I am capable of standing on my own two feet and living my life to the fullest. I am in one of the most exciting cities in the world, and I love having my windows open and listening to the blaring horns, the sounds of traffic, and people chit-chatting! I cannot wait to further explore my new backyard! Anyways, my new school is great as well! They have tons of stuff to offer, and I'm actually excited for the semester to start in a few days! My roommate is really nice! She's very easy to talk to and I know we are going to become great friends! On the plus side, I already have a few great friends from my old school so I don't feel so alone. So, I will keep you updated on how my new life is, and, until later, au revoir, loves!

Last day in Dirty Jersey!

I may be exaggerrating that a bit, but that's definitely what it feels like! Tomorrow morning, I will officially be a Manhattenite! I can't wait to move into my dorm, meet my roommate, make new friends, and just enjoy the hustle and bustle of NYC! I know I will only be a short train ride away from everyone and everything that I love, but I can already feel the waterworks that are going to start bursting out tomorrow! I can't believe that I'm going to be separated from so many things that I've grown to know and love:

-my mom's unconditional love, constantly open arms, and delish chicken parm!
-my daddy's bear hugs, his hilarious jokes and stories, and his out-of-this-world pancakes!
-Meesh's silly car dances, loving and caring nature, and unstoppable energy!
-Ginger's incredible talent to listen to my problems and not judge me, warm and cuddly fur, and heart-melting meows!
-Mommom's loud and fun-loving nature, her ability to make anyone feel instantly better with food, and heart-warming laughter!
-my welcoming home
-the best diner that thankfully doesn't taste like a diner
-the chicest and coziest little orange and black town
-the mall that desperately needs a face lift but is far too familiar to stop going there

These are only a handful of the things that I will feel lost without. Wish me luck changing my life around this weekend. Hopefully, the best is yet to come! Au revoir, loves!

Just a little too late.

Wow. What a day this has been. Let's start from the beginning, shall we? Okay, so today was the first day to register for classes. And I thought it would be no biggie. Well, it turned out to be a HUGE biggie! First of all, my computer is soooo slow that it took me from 9:30 to 1:00 to finish everything! It was not the easiest thing to figure out either. So, at least that fiasco is done and over with for at least the first semester! Ugh! So, next, a nurse came over to teach me how to mix my meds which have come mixed for me ever since I can remember! At least it's not that hard to do. The only high point of my day was when I went over to dogsit for my uncle! She was so cute and a lot of fun! Okay, that was my very hectic day! Hopefully tomorrow will be better in the form of me singing along with my boys at Hershey Park! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Au revoir, loves!

P.S.- I saw a picture of Brenny today that made me both sad and happy. He was in my fave city standing in front of the Apple store that looks like a fishtank! I was so disappointed because I was at that very spot just a few months ago! Grr!

"I've been in love with you all my life."

So I just started reading "The Time Traveller's Wife" last night and I was instantly hooked! I cannot wait to see the movie! Anyways, I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a while! I've been so busy getting stuff ready for college life. I still cannot believe that I move to NYC in a few short weeks! This summer has gone by so fast! It feels like I just graduated high school yesterday! I'm getting both excited and nervous more and more each day! Okay, that's all for now, loves! I'll try not to miss so many days! Au revoir!

"Hello, I'm a Mac and no longer a PC."

OMJ! (That's right! Even though they have split up, I'm still going to use it!) I feel like I haven't been on here in years! Anyway, the reason I haven't been updating is that my home computer is currently in an Apple store because all my iTunes are being transferred to my NEW MACBOOK! Yay! I am so excited! I can't wait to turn it on and hit that first key! Anyway, that's the biggest news that I can think of for right now. Also, I really need to finish dorm shopping! I'm such a procrastinator! Au revoir, loves!

P.S.~ Good luck on your tour, loves! Have fun and be safe! I love you!
